Elementary School Principal

The Barnstable Public School Department is seeking experienced, innovative leaders to apply for the position of Elementary School Principal. We are interested in an individual who provides dynamic, positive leadership for both students and staff; understands and practices the concepts of a professional learning community and team building; possesses familiarity with and sensitivity to a culturally diverse community; believes in empowering staff to develop professionally and achieve work/life balance; utilizes technology for data analysis and data-driven decision making; and strikes a balance between innovation and continuation of existing high-performing programs.

Qualifications: The successful candidate should possess the appropriate Massachusetts certification, a graduate degree in education or related field, school administrative experience preferred. Classroom teaching at the elementary level is also highly desirable.

letters of reference, and evidence of certification.

Anticipated start date for the position is no later than July 1, 2008.
