MESPA Spring Conference 2009

The Massachusetts Elementary School Principals’ Association will hold its annual Spring Conference at The Resort and Conference Center at Hyannis (previously the Four Points Sheraton) on May 6-8, 2009. The conference theme is: Reaching All Learners and the keynote speakers are Jay McTighe and Carol Ann Tomlinson. Over 350 participants are expected.

Rob Evans added as Spring Conference Speaker:

Rob Evans, Director of the Human Relations Service in Wellesley has been added to the Spring Conference program. He will speak at the May 8th Friday luncheon on the subject of how to handle the stress of the economic downturn on schools and the effects on principals as they reduce staffs and programs. Strategies for coping will be discussed.
Rob Evans is the author of The Human Side of School Change. Rob is a clinical and organizational psychologist and a former high school and pre-school teacher. He consults to schools and districts throughout the United States and Canada and has worked extensively with teachers , administrators, school boards and state officials.
